We have had no repeats of the frequent problems we had before and appear to have a fast and solid service from the new drive.
Given our lifestyle the lap-top is regularly in and out of baggage holds and taxi boots with none of the
vibration issues we experienced previously.

Having upgraded the hard drive which went without a hitch I am happy to say that the machine response time is greatly improved (especially machine startup time as you said it would) and much more consistant (my old drive would be ok one minute and hang for what seemed like ages before responding the next minute). As I use my machine for business (access repairs) this is a priority for me and the business.
I would recommend this upgrade to anyone wanting faster response times.

If I’m honest I had a little bit of doubt that it would soon start running slowly but the performance of it appears to have been consistent since you made the switch for us. It is no longer a chore to just open the laptop up and quickly do something as it’s up and running within 30 seconds of pressing the power button.
